This Privacy Policy explains how Light IT, LLC ("EZClass," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal data in connection with EZClass, our software-as-a-service platform for martial arts studios. EZClass is provided to studios (academies), not directly to the general public or to children.
For data about the studios (academies) that subscribe to EZClass, we act as a service provider (processor) on each studio's behalf. The studio is the controller of its members', parents', and students' personal data ("Academy Data"). We process Academy Data only to provide, maintain, support, and improve the Service.
For data about the studio account itself — such as the contact and billing details of the studio owner or administrator who signs up — we act as the controller for the limited purpose of operating the Service and our business relationship with you.
Depending on how a studio uses the Service, we may process:

We use the information described above to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Service; to process subscription and tuition payments; to communicate with studio account holders; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use Academy Data to market to a studio's members.
We share data only with infrastructure providers necessary to run the Service:
We do not sell personal data. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of EZClass, our users, or the public.
EZClass is provided to studios, not directly to children. Where a studio enrolls members under 13, the studio (as controller) is responsible for obtaining verifiable parental consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We process any such data only as the studio's service provider and do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Any sharing of a child's photo or content is initiated by the child's own parent or guardian through the parent app, under that parent's control.
Requests to access, correct, or delete Academy Data are handled through the studio that controls it. If you are a member, parent, or student, please contact your studio. Studios and other parties may also contact us at help@ezclass.co and we will assist the controlling studio in responding.
We may use aggregated, de-identified data — which cannot identify any studio or individual — to improve the Service and produce industry benchmarks.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including tenant data isolation, encryption in transit, and access controls. We retain Academy Data for as long as a studio's account is active, and afterward only as needed to comply with legal obligations. A studio may request export or deletion of its Academy Data as described in our Terms of Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
